Made using a crop of Rhubarb originally grown at Buckingham Palace during the reign of Queen Victoria – (not sure if she made Gin with it)

Warner Edwards distillery was founded in 2012 by Tom Warner, it is situated at Falls Farm in the Village of Harrington, Northampton, in a 200 year old barn. They make most of their Gin on a 500 litre copper still called Curiosity, custom made by Arnold Holstein in Germany. They also have a little 50 litre still called Satisfaction for making small batches and for experiments.

They press the Rhubarb and mix it into their Dry Gin which is heavy on the Cardamom and nutmeg. To serve just add plenty of ice and tonic – it already has the flavour of the Rhubarb.

Taste Rating Guide

1 - Light, good for beginners - an aperitif on a summers day, i.e. Glengoyne, Auchentoshan

2 - Also good for beginners but with more depth and body - a little stronger than 1, ie. Glenmorangie, Speyburn

3 - A dram for everyone, a little more complex so the palate requires a little more experience, i.e. Cragganmore, Macallan

4 - A stronger spirit, a big whisky with lots of character and body, excellent after dinner, i.e. Lagavulin, Laphroaig
