McDonalds Traditional Ben Nevis  - a bottling from Ben Nevis which is a style of Single Malt Whisky as it would have tasted in the 19th Century when the distillery was owned by Long John McDonald.

The bottling has been done to celebrate the 185 years of distilling at Ben Nevis Distillery at Fort William in the Highlands of Scotland. It is a copy of whisky which was sold  in 1882.

Big bold rich fruity well worth a try.

Taste Rating Guide

1 - Light, good for beginners - an aperitif on a summers day, i.e. Glengoyne, Auchentoshan

2 - Also good for beginners but with more depth and body - a little stronger than 1, ie. Glenmorangie, Speyburn

3 - A dram for everyone, a little more complex so the palate requires a little more experience, i.e. Cragganmore, Macallan

4 - A stronger spirit, a big whisky with lots of character and body, excellent after dinner, i.e. Lagavulin, Laphroaig
