The USA has a colourful History of producing whiskey (they spell it with an “E”). They are just as quality orientated and traditional as their Scottish or Irish cousins. They also have their own way of doing things, for example Bourbon whiskey – which originated in Bourbon County, Kentucky- has to be made using at least 51% corn. Most important is that in USA they can only use the cask once. It is always American White Oak and usually charred before use.  Warning drinking American whiskey may result in wanting to buy a Pick Up Truck or using the term “yo-ll”.
