The English whisky company has been distilling spirit since 2006 and their whiskies available offer a wide range of flavours, the distillery produces both peated and un-peated whiskies while they also use a variety of different casks for certain releases.

This bottling is part of their small batch releases, a range of whiskies that only ever uses four or five casks per batch (leaving them very little room for error, highlighting the quality of the whisky inside). This release is distilled three times using un-peated barley which has created a far lighter and sweeter spirit that still has a wonderful amount of flavour.

Tasting Notes.

Nose- Vanilla, with a hint of orange and rich dark chocolate. Creamy toffee and butterscotch. Subtle notes of liquorice.

Palate- Vanilla, light citrus fruits. Slightly dry, dark chocolate, light honey. Again the subtle liquorice is there.

Finish- A short to medium finish.

Taste Rating Guide

1 - Light, good for beginners - an aperitif on a summers day, i.e. Glengoyne, Auchentoshan

2 - Also good for beginners but with more depth and body - a little stronger than 1, ie. Glenmorangie, Speyburn

3 - A dram for everyone, a little more complex so the palate requires a little more experience, i.e. Cragganmore, Macallan

4 - A stronger spirit, a big whisky with lots of character and body, excellent after dinner, i.e. Lagavulin, Laphroaig
