The Lakes Gin is the classic English gin from The Lakes Distillery, located next to Bassenthwaite Lake in the Lake District National Park. The buildings were originally part of an 1850’s Victorian model farm, which was derelict when work began on the distillery. The unique botanical blend is infused in the finest British wheat spirit and the purest water drawn from the distillery's Lake District National Park home, in a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Juniper, coriander and angelica provide the gin’s flavour cornerstones. Orris root, cassia bark and liquorice offer complementary flavours with orange and lemon peel enhancing the gin’s citrus notes.

Tasting Rating Guide
1: Light, good for beginners - an aperitif on a summers day, i.e. Glengoyne, Auchentoshan
2: Also good for beginners but with more depth and body - a little stronger than 1, ie. Glenmorangie, Speyburn
3: A dram for everyone, a little more complex so the palate requires a little more experience, i.e. Cragganmore, Macallan
4: A stronger spirit, a big whisky with lots of character and body, excellent after dinner, i.e. Lagavulin, Laphroaig
