Edradour Distillery is located in Pitlochry, Perthshire. The Signatory Vintage Scotch Whisky Company has owned Edradour since 2002, following previous ownership by Pernod Ricard. Established in 1825, Edradour holds the distinction of being
Scotland's smallest distillery.
Nestled amidst scenic landscapes of rolling hills and lush forests, Edradour Distillery's location actively shapes the unique character of its whiskies, which are often described as rich, full-bodied, and slightly fruity. The distillery is known for its small-scale production methods, with just two stills. Traditionally run by three men, there are now just two overseeing operations. Each week, the distillery produces eighteen casks.
Although a small distillery, the whisky community appreciates its commitment to craftsmanship, tradition, and quality. Its small-scale production and focus on artisanal methods contribute to its reputation as a boutique distillery producing exceptional whiskies.
This bottling is apart of the Edradour Wine Cask Special Editions, finished in casks from the renowned St. Michael-Eppan Winery in Italy. Winemaker Hans Terzer unfolds his great artistry and experience with the Sanct-Valentin wines. Selecting only the most excellent grapes from the vineyards of the St. Michael-Eppan Winery, he creates elegant, intense and complex wine, characterised by their exquisite minerality, exceptional ageing properties and finest aromatic. Andrew Symington used these casks to bring the same intense and complex notes into his Edradour Single Malt Scotch Whisky.
The team at the distillery distilled the spirit for this bottling of Edradour in 2014, and finished it in 1st fill Lagrein casks. Bottled from casks numbers 701 and 702. The bottling took place in June 2025 at 11 years old, producing 1710 bottles.
