Glendronach Distillery, located near Forgue in the Scottish
Highlands, was founded in 1826 by James Allardice. It quickly gained a reputation for producing high-quality sherried whisky using Spanish Oloroso sherry casks. After Allardice’s death, the distillery went through several ownership changes. Walter Scott purchased the company in 1852, with the family controlling it until 1920.
William Teacher & Sons acquired Glendronach in 1920, integrating its whisky into their blends. In the 1960s, the distillery modernised by installing steam heating and expanding from two to four stills. After being mothballed in 1996, Glendronach reopened in 2002 under Chivas Brothers. The BenRiach Distillery Company acquired it in 2008 and revitalised its focus on high-quality single malts, before selling it to Brown-Forman in 2016.
The Master's Anthology is a collection of single malts from Glendronach, inviting you to experience the breadth and depth of sherry cask maturation. Each expression pursues the exceptional in character and taste, composed to celebrate different aspects of their rich and rewarding whisky.
Nestled amid bramble vines on the edge of the Scottish Highlands is Glendronach Distillery. This expression is a tribute to their 'Ode to the Valley', matured in a combination of ruby port casks from Portugal's Douro Valley and the distillery's signature sherry casks, offering sweet floral nectar notes that harmonise with the flavours of ripe summer berries.
