To craft this blended malt whisky, single malt and grain whiskies have been sourced from various distilleries across Scotland. The team meticulously selects these whiskies and blends them with precision to achieve a consistent and balanced flavour profile.
Over the years, the company has seen different owners and producers. In recent times, Morrison & MacKay, an independent bottler and blender based in Perth, Scotland, has revived the brand. They have maintained the tradition of blending high-quality whiskies to create Old Perth expressions that appeal to whisky enthusiasts.
Old Perth Manzanilla is a vatting of eleven handpicked Manzanilla Sherry casks (six hogsheads and five butts). Manzanilla is a dry white wine (sherry), aged for at least two years under a layer of flor yeast. It can only be produced and matured around Sanlucar De Barrameda.
The Spanish word 'Manzanilla', meaning chamomile, names this sherry style because of its aroma, along with notes of almonds and dough.
Limited to 4200 bottles, this whisky is bursting with fragrant and floral notes with layers of honeyed amaretti biscuits. Non-chill filtered, with no added colour.

1: Light, good for beginners - an aperitif on a summers day, i.e. Glengoyne, Auchentoshan
2: Also good for beginners but with more depth and body - a little stronger than 1, ie. Glenmorangie, Speyburn
3: A dram for everyone, a little more complex so the palate requires a little more experience, i.e. Cragganmore, Macallan
4: A stronger spirit, a big whisky with lots of character and body, excellent after dinner, i.e. Lagavulin, Laphroaig
