The principal brands of the premium range of The Gaelic Whiskies are - Tè Bheag; an exceptional connoisseurs’ blend, with a high malt content aged in sherry casks. The MacNaMara classic; a lighter blend, also available finished in Guyanan rum casks. Also, the fine vatted malts of Poit Dhubh, bottled at 8 years and 12 years, with a 21 year old to satisfy the most epicurean tastes.
Poit Dhubh, named after the Gaelic term for an illicit still, celebrates the illustrious tradition of illicit whisky-making. This has become legendary throughout the history of the Gaeltachd of the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. The illicit stills being regarded traditionally as a source of some of the most revered whiskies, held in high regard by connoisseurs of discerning taste.

Nose - Soft enticing suggestions of vanilla, oak and peat. Robust yet well rounded.
Palate - Complex and full-flavoured, with rich peat and smoke overtones balanced by a sweet sherry wood smoothness.
Finish - Long, warm soft and gently spicy.

1: Light, good for beginners - an aperitif on a summers day, i.e. Glengoyne, Auchentoshan
2: Also good for beginners but with more depth and body - a little stronger than 1, ie. Glenmorangie, Speyburn
3: A dram for everyone, a little more complex so the palate requires a little more experience, i.e. Cragganmore, Macallan
4: A stronger spirit, a big whisky with lots of character and body, excellent after dinner, i.e. Lagavulin, Laphroaig
