Mannochmore Distillery is located near Elgin,
Moray. John Haig & Co. founded the distillery in 1971. Production paused between 1985 and 1989, when the distillery closed, but it reopened and began producing a Mannochmore single malt in 1992. Today, the distillery is owned by Diageo, the largest alcoholic drinks company in the world.
Established early in 1994, Murray McDavid is a leading Independent Scotch whisky bottler. They use a variety of interesting casks during maturation to produce Inspired Scotch Whisky. Their ranges available include the Benchmark series, Mystery Malts, Cask Craft and select Grain bottlings.
This bottling is part of their ‘Cask Craft’ range of single malts from across Scotland. Artfully matured in a variety of wood types, displaying a fine balance of oak and spirit.
This single malt bottling from Mannochmore Distillery has a rich malt character, with mellow fruits and a dry and crisp finish. The use of ex-Islay barriques and hogsheads from Caol Ila Distillery gives an influence of sweet smoke, mellow oak spice and hint of red fruits.
Along with gentle waves of sweet fruity embers to this peat-free, barley-rich Speyside single malt Scotch whisky.
