Built for the sole intention of handcrafting the finest English Single Malt, at the time of the distillery's completion, it was the
England's first whisky distillery in over 100 years. King Charles III officially opened the distillery in March 2007.
The English Distillery offer whiskies of a wide range of flavours. The distillery produces both peated and un-peated whiskies while they also use a variety of different casks for certain releases. They have whisky maturing in their warehouses to last 40 years. Alongside the single malts, they also produce a range of whisky liqueurs.
To commemorate 18 years of English whisky-making, The English Distillery have created Chapter 18. A very inviting, balanced and complex whisky, perfect for sharing with friends and family.
Crafted from a vatting of 10-18 year old casks, including Pedro Ximénez Sherry, Virgin Oak and ASB (American Standard Barrel), this bold, beautifully rounded single malt is designed to be enjoyed.
A limited release of 7,500 individually numbered bottles.
Official Tasting Notes
Nose - Caramel, red berries, fragrant apples and vanilla ice cream.
Palate - Stewed orchard fruits, rhubarb and custard sweets, toasted oak.
Finish - Long, spicy, layered with brown sugar and cinnamon.
