Loch Lomond is a
Lowland Distillery which was founded in 1965. The distillery's situated in a converted dye works in the town of Alexandria, just outside of Glasgow. Named after the infamous nearby loch, it was founded by the owners of the now closed Littlemill Distillery, which was just down the road towards Glasgow, as they wanted to expand. Loch Lomond creates a range of different peated and un-peated varieties single malts and single grain whiskies. The distillery utilises several different styles of stills to create their wide range of scotch whiskies.
Brought together by master blender Michael Henry, Loch Lomond Inchmoan 12 years old eloquently celebrates the soft character of Loch Lomond's style. The distillers have skillfully combined whisky from both the unique Straight Neck stills and more traditional Swan Neck Stills.
Aged in three types of American Oak casks, Loch Lomond Inchmoan not only highlights but also gives prominence to soft smoke. This is accompanied by additional highlights of warming spice elements inherent in the distillery's signature style. Finally, the whisky unveils enchanting wood and peat smoke notes. Complemented by roasted coffee, green apple, and a medley of clove and aniseed spice.
