Celebrated as a light and delicate whisky, Glenkinchie is ideal for the sophisticated connoisseur who enjoys a pre-dinner drink. It’s light character is born from its distillation in some of Scotland’s largest stills. Perfect as an aperitif Single Malt or at the start of a meal due to its fragrant, light and appetising body and taste.
A special limited edition bottling from hand-selected casks. Double-matured in elegant Amontillado Cask-Wood chosen to complement the whisky's sophisticated balance between sweet and dry. The Distillers Edition of Glenkinchie reveals a fascinating, complex and malty depth in the intriguing Lowland character of this whisky.
Official Tasting Notes
Nose - Brisk and brittle. Complex and excellent; astonishing balance between sweet and dry. Firmer, drier notes from soft and crisp grape; sweeter, nuttier ones from malted barley and cask wood."
Palate - Dry, after early biscuit sweetness. Enormous malt character contrasts with thin fruitiness of the grape.
Finish - Very long, dry, oaky. Very faint peppery notes add spice.

Tasting Rating Guide
1: Light, good for beginners - an aperitif on a summers day, i.e. Glengoyne, Auchentoshan
2: Also good for beginners but with more depth and body - a little stronger than 1, ie. Glenmorangie, Speyburn
3: A dram for everyone, a little more complex so the palate requires a little more experience, i.e. Cragganmore, Macallan
4: A stronger spirit, a big whisky with lots of character and body, excellent after dinner, i.e. Lagavulin, Laphroaig
