England's first producer of net-zero energy whisky, Cooper King accomplished this after six years of commitment to sustainability. Made possible through the use of NASA-developed insulation technology and stills powered by renewable energy sources.
Designed to drink gathered by the fireside, whether outdoors or by a warm hearth, to enjoy a bold and flavourful dram, matured in dark fired bourbon casks. 'Embers' is the latest release in Cooper King's Expedition Series, exploring the finest casks from their warehouse.
The team at Cooper King have been patiently awaiting the maturity of these dark fired bourbon casks. Over time, the strong hickory smoke from the casks has softened, leaving a subtle wood smoke and earthiness. Reminiscent of evenings spent around a campfire with friends.

Taste - Soft wood smoke, baked apple, cornbread and caramel.
Finish - Long and velvety with winter spices and tobacco leaf.

Tasting Rating Guide
1: Light, good for beginners - an aperitif on a summers day, i.e. Glengoyne, Auchentoshan
2: Also good for beginners but with more depth and body - a little stronger than 1, ie. Glenmorangie, Speyburn
3: A dram for everyone, a little more complex so the palate requires a little more experience, i.e. Cragganmore, Macallan
4: A stronger spirit, a big whisky with lots of character and body, excellent after dinner, i.e. Lagavulin, Laphroaig
