The location of the distillery gives The Deveron whisky a salty, coastal style alongside nuts and a hint of caramel. A well balanced, complex single malt with an abundance of character. This distillery is also gravity fed, reducing its environmental impact and cutting costs.
The Deveron 10 years old has spent ten years resting in oak barrels. A warm, rich and mellow character with a hint of something wilder and more elemental. This reflects the distillery's unique location on the banks of the River Deveron, just before this gently meandering river empties into the stormy seas of the Moray Firth.
This whisky is a wonderful entry to single malts for those who are looking to explore the category. The nose offers fresh green notes with hint of spice and the palate has ripe fruit complemented by savoury nuts and the saltiness you would expect from a coastal distillery.

Tasting Rating Guide
1: Light, good for beginners - an aperitif on a summers day, i.e. Glengoyne, Auchentoshan
2: Also good for beginners but with more depth and body - a little stronger than 1, ie. Glenmorangie, Speyburn
3: A dram for everyone, a little more complex so the palate requires a little more experience, i.e. Cragganmore, Macallan
4: A stronger spirit, a big whisky with lots of character and body, excellent after dinner, i.e. Lagavulin, Laphroaig
