Today, the company has exported more than 10 million bottles of malt whisky to more than 30 countries across the world, and is now recognised as one of Scotland’s leading independent bottlers.
This release from Finlaggan has been finished in red wine casks. Therefore adding an extra layer of complexity, while retaining its signature Islay characteristic.
Official Tasting Notes
Nose - Delicious sweet peat smoke and red berried fruits.
Palate - Smokey bacon and strawberries with plum notes, sea salt and chewy earthy peat. Grape skin tannins.
Finish - Long lingering sweet smoke.

Tasting Rating Guide
1: Light, good for beginners - an aperitif on a summers day, i.e. Glengoyne, Auchentoshan
2: Also good for beginners but with more depth and body - a little stronger than 1, ie. Glenmorangie, Speyburn
3: A dram for everyone, a little more complex so the palate requires a little more experience, i.e. Cragganmore, Macallan
4: A stronger spirit, a big whisky with lots of character and body, excellent after dinner, i.e. Lagavulin, Laphroaig
