Founded in 1967 by Mackinlay McPherson in Aberlour, GlenAllachie Distillery operated until 1985 when it was mothballed. The distillery saw a revival in 1989 by Invergordon Distillers. In 2017, Billy Walker, Graham Stevenson, and Trisha Savage acquired the distillery, marking a new chapter in its history. Billy is a skilled Veteran Master Distiller who engineered the move from concentrating on providing for blending to single malt bottling.
In 2018, the
Speyside distillery launched its first core range of GlenAllachie single malts just nine months after taking ownership. This release marked a significant milestone as it was the first-ever range of single malts from the distillery, which had previously been used to create premium blends. In 2024, the company rebranded, giving GlenAllachie 'a new visual identity', representing their evolution since 2018.
Every batch created of the GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Cask Strength represents the direction in which the distillery is taking the whisky. Bottled at its natural cask strength, this multi-award-winning Speyside dram maximises flavour delivery. Master Distiller Billy Walker carefully finesses every small batch, striving to better the last.
Matured in combination of Pedro Ximénez, Oloroso, Red Wine and Virgin Oak casks. With a deep chestnut hue, a lively nose and a punchy palate, expect a dram that captivates the senses.
