Founded in 1967 by Mackinlay McPherson in Aberlour, GlenAllachie Distillery operated until 1985 when it was mothballed. The distillery saw a revival in 1989 by Invergordon Distillers. In 2018, the Speyside distillery launched its first core range of GlenAllachie single malts just nine months after taking ownership. This release marked a significant milestone as it was the first-ever range of single malts from the distillery, which had previously been used to create premium blends. In 2024, the company rebranded, giving GlenAllachie 'a new visual identity', representing their evolution since 2018.
The team at GlenAllachie have patiently perfected this opulent Scotch whisky over 18 long years of maturation in the finest oak casks. Silently slumbering in the on-site warehouses, the spirit underwent continual monitoring until Billy Walker deemed it had reached its pinnacle. With enticing aromas of honey and mocha, followed by marzipan and dark cherry tones on the palate, this bottling of GlenAllachie is a single malt oozing elegant refinement.

Colour - An intense chestnut.
Nose - Layers of heather honey, toffee and muscovado sugar, with dark chocolate, caramel and dried sultanas.
Taste - Bursting with fruit cake, butterscotch and wild Scottish honey. Followed by layers of blackcurrant, almonds and soft oak spice on the finish.

Tasting Rating Guide
1: Light, good for beginners - an aperitif on a summers day, i.e. Glengoyne, Auchentoshan
2: Also good for beginners but with more depth and body - a little stronger than 1, ie. Glenmorangie, Speyburn
3: A dram for everyone, a little more complex so the palate requires a little more experience, i.e. Cragganmore, Macallan
4: A stronger spirit, a big whisky with lots of character and body, excellent after dinner, i.e. Lagavulin, Laphroaig
