The distillery prides themselves on still producing Single Malt Scotch Whisky using the same traditional and handcrafted production methods as it has done for almost 200 years. Unusually, Glencadam’s stills have lyne arms that run upwards at an angle of 15 degrees. This process promotes substantial reflux, contributing to the creation of a single malt known for its distinctive tropical and orchard fruit flavours. The distillery has always made a light floral, delicate whisky.
This limited edition bottling of Glencadam is a 17 year old whisky, expertly finished in hand-selected barrels from Calvados, France.
Official Tasting Notes
Nose - An inviting bouquet of baked apples, heather honey, sugared almonds and vanilla sponge cake with hints of cocoa powder and chamomile.
Palate - A wash of apple strudel, spiced fruits and butterscotch. Married with stem ginger, dark chocolate, candied orange and clove rock.
Finish - Warming impressions of cappuccino and custard tarts. With orchard blossom and lemon sherbet sweetness, fading into a cacao and baking spice linger.

Tasting Rating Guide
1: Light, good for beginners - an aperitif on a summers day, i.e. Glengoyne, Auchentoshan
2: Also good for beginners but with more depth and body - a little stronger than 1, ie. Glenmorangie, Speyburn
3: A dram for everyone, a little more complex so the palate requires a little more experience, i.e. Cragganmore, Macallan
4: A stronger spirit, a big whisky with lots of character and body, excellent after dinner, i.e. Lagavulin, Laphroaig
