Frequent visits to the Outer Hebrides inspired the discovery of Hebridean Whisky Liqueur's unique recipe, uncovered in a cookery book filled with traditional Hebridean recipes. The Outer Hebrides are one of the wildest frontiers of Europe, rugged and rich in wildlife. There's no other region in the world which attracts so many different seabirds in such vast numbers.
The team at The Hebridean Liqueur Company fill each bottle by hand, inserting the special tapered cork with care. The black sealing wax slowly dripped onto the top of the cork, just at the right temperature so that the seal is then pressed into the wax. Since each bottle is handmade, no two are exactly alike - but all share the same 20% ABV.
Historically, Scotch whisky was made at home in stills all over Scotland. To make the raw spirit more palatable, they mixed it with orange juice or burnt sugar caramel. That rich caramel flavour forms the foundation of Hebridean Whisky Liqueur. Some added spices also give the drink that extra something.
