Monkey Shoulder
Blended Malt whisky is produced by William Grant & Sons. First introduced in 2003 primarily for mixing, Monkey Shoulder has become the third best-selling brand of Scotch whisky.
Originally, Monkey Shoulder was a blend of whiskies from Balvenie, Glenfiddich and Kininvie distilleries. We do not currently know the specific composition, but it predominantly consists of malt whiskies from the Speyside region of Scotland.
This is Smokey Monkey, a deeper, smokier side of Monkey Shoulder, the perfect balance of sweet and peat. Created from a small-batch blend of single malts, each chosen to create a smooth peated Scotch whisky with subtle oaky smokiness. It gives off an iconic taste that combines dry peaty notes with the trademark creamy sweetness and spice of The Original.
The underlying sweetness in Smokey Monkey makes it delicious when neat (or with a splash of water), but the liquid comes into its own in Smokey twists on classic cocktail serves. Created by bartenders, for bartenders, this unique blend was so popular it’s now available in over 25 countries.
