Warners Sloe Gin uses sloe berries, juniper, coriander seed, elderflower, cardamom, black pepper, cinnamon, angelica root, orange peel, lemon peel, plus a secret ingredient.
This gin is crammed full of hand-picked sloe berries from the British countryside, before it is steeped for a month. It is local knowledge that every year in October, Warners Distillery invite gin lovers to visit them on the family farm. They swap their sloe berries for bottles of this delicious Sloe Gin.
Official Tasting Notes
Nose - Rich sloe and cherry with blood oranges give a luscious nose with some sweetness and a slight sour note.
Palate - A wonderfully thick feel, with blackberry jam and a little nutmeg. Cinnamon mixes with the tart sloes and a little sweet orange to give a truly decadent experience.
Finish - The finish is long with dark chocolate, juniper and some sweetness lingers gently on the palate.

Tasting Rating Guide
1: Light, good for beginners - an aperitif on a summers day, i.e. Glengoyne, Auchentoshan
2: Also good for beginners but with more depth and body - a little stronger than 1, ie. Glenmorangie, Speyburn
3: A dram for everyone, a little more complex so the palate requires a little more experience, i.e. Cragganmore, Macallan
4: A stronger spirit, a big whisky with lots of character and body, excellent after dinner, i.e. Lagavulin, Laphroaig
