The Mossburn is from the owners of the Torabhaig distillery on the Isle of Skye. The Vintage Casks range are a collection of Single Malt Scotch Whiskies each issuing from a strictly limited and select batch of casks. Each numbered release will only ever yield a finite number of bottles.
Mossburn distilled this bottling of Macduff in 2008, bottling it in March 2025 at 16 years old. It was first matured in a Refill Hogshead before finishing in Banyuls Wine Casks. Bottled at its cask strength of 50.8% ABV, this is a bold, coastal Highland dram. A rich, textured, and subtly indulgent expression.

Tasting Rating Guide
1: Light, good for beginners - an aperitif on a summers day, i.e. Glengoyne, Auchentoshan
2: Also good for beginners but with more depth and body - a little stronger than 1, ie. Glenmorangie, Speyburn
3: A dram for everyone, a little more complex so the palate requires a little more experience, i.e. Cragganmore, Macallan
4: A stronger spirit, a big whisky with lots of character and body, excellent after dinner, i.e. Lagavulin, Laphroaig
