Glenburgie plays a key role in producing Ballantine’s blended Scotch whisky. Its single malts are a key component, providing a fruity and floral character that is essential to the blend's profile.
Created in 1968 by George Urquhart, the Connoisseurs Choice range has featured more than 2,000 bottlings from almost 100 Scottish distilleries. The label of each Connoisseurs Choice whisky narrates its story, including cask type, bottling date, strength, vintage, and tasting note.
Gordon & MacPhail, drawing on four generations of the same family, uniquely crafts these rare single cask and small batch expressions by applying their expertise in matching spirit to oak casks. These creations consistently remain non-chill-filtered.
This 16 year old, UK Exclusive bottling of Glenburgie was filled in 2008 and spent its maturation in a Refill Bourbon Barrel. Bottled at 58.9%, this is whisky is a cask strength bottling. A limited release of 226 bottles.
