Today, this whiskey is made by Heaven Hill distillery in Louisville. The spirit is matured for 4 years (only 2 years are required to call it straight whiskey), and is one of the best selling bourbons in the world. The use of charred oak barrels give the bourbon its distinct colour and rich flavour.
Evan Williams Honey combines the smoothness of their Straight Kentucky Bourbon with the sweetness of real, natural honey.

Colour - Pale golden straw.
Nose - Strong with citrus, whiskey, and hints of honey.
Taste - Sweet honey and allspice with vanilla and a hint of smoke notes.
Finish - Bourbon is evident with long, slightly spicy finish.
Proof - 65 Proof.

Tasting Rating Guide
1: Light, good for beginners - an aperitif on a summers day, i.e. Glengoyne, Auchentoshan
2: Also good for beginners but with more depth and body - a little stronger than 1, ie. Glenmorangie, Speyburn
3: A dram for everyone, a little more complex so the palate requires a little more experience, i.e. Cragganmore, Macallan
4: A stronger spirit, a big whisky with lots of character and body, excellent after dinner, i.e. Lagavulin, Laphroaig
