Hinch Small Batch Bourbon Cask is a premium blend of Single Malt and Single Grain Whiskeys. Paired together in small batches to give a classic smooth Irish whiskey.
Matured for 3 - 4 years in the finest first fill bourbon casks for hints of fruit, vanilla and caramel Hinch Small Batch is light hazel in appearance. Aromas are sweet wood and toffee whilst on the palate dry fruit combines with citrus and a lingering caramel undertone. Bold, innovative, contemporary Irish whiskey proudly made in County Down.
Official Tasting Notes
Nose - The nose reveals immediate notes of zesty orange marmalade and sweet dried apricots, counterbalanced by a creamy maltiness and an earthy vanilla pod. A subtle hint of buttered toast completes the aroma, creating a comforting and inviting sensation.
Palate - On the palate, the whiskey delivers a rich and smooth experience, with creamy vanilla being the dominant flavor, followed by a delightful combination of pancakes and maple syrup, floral honey, and dried fruits. The whiskey also showcases a burst of fresh cantaloupe and lively citrus notes that bring a refreshing and invigorating sensation to the palate.
Finish - As the tasting experience concludes, a decadent combination of flavors characterises the finish. The chocolate-covered almond notes provide a satisfying sweetness, complemented by a delightful vanilla shortbread flavour. The finish is prolonged with a final burst of honey, adding a pleasant and sweet aftertaste to the whiskey.

Tasting Rating Guide
1: Light, good for beginners - an aperitif on a summers day, i.e. Glengoyne, Auchentoshan
2: Also good for beginners but with more depth and body - a little stronger than 1, ie. Glenmorangie, Speyburn
3: A dram for everyone, a little more complex so the palate requires a little more experience, i.e. Cragganmore, Macallan
4: A stronger spirit, a big whisky with lots of character and body, excellent after dinner, i.e. Lagavulin, Laphroaig
