Ragtime Rye is a revival of the traditional rye whiskey style that was popular during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The name 'Ragtime' pays homage to the lively and syncopated music genre that flourished during the same era.
Adhering to strict Federal Bottled in Bond and Empire Rye Regulations, this expression of their flagship Rye hints at tropical notes with plum aromas and a delicious Crème Brûlée and warm oak flavour. With ice it opens up and there's some secondary apricot and banana chips in the finish.
Distilled from rye proudly grown in New York State, this uncompromising whiskey ages exclusively in full-size barrels for four years to ensure robust flavour and nuanced finish. Cold northern winters and rich soil provide an ideal terroir for the rye varietals selected with their farmers.

1: Light, good for beginners - an aperitif on a summers day, i.e. Glengoyne, Auchentoshan
2: Also good for beginners but with more depth and body - a little stronger than 1, ie. Glenmorangie, Speyburn
3: A dram for everyone, a little more complex so the palate requires a little more experience, i.e. Cragganmore, Macallan
4: A stronger spirit, a big whisky with lots of character and body, excellent after dinner, i.e. Lagavulin, Laphroaig
