The Lakes Distillery, located next to Bassenthwaite Lake in the Lake District National Park. The buildings were originally part of an 1850’s Victorian model farm, which was derelict when work began on the distillery. With The Lakes Single Malt at its heart blended with select Scotch grain and malt whiskies from the Highlands, Speyside and Islay. The One Whisky Collection is a showcase of their whiskymaker's maturation expertise. Each singular release has been finished in the finest oak casks, adding a new dimension to the flavour profile and demonstrating the influence oak and cask seasoning has on whisky's flavour-elevation.
Exclusively from the Andalusian town of Sanlucar de Barrameda. The cooler coastal climate of the region gives Manzanilla distinctive dry saline characteristics. This singular blend of The Lakes Single Malt and select grain and malt Scotch whiskies is then finished in the finest Manzanilla casks to create this refreshing expression of The One.
Plum jam, boiled sweets and aromatic woodsmoke on the nose. With a touch of salinity leads to a palate of lightly stewed apples, candied ginger and a hint of lemon zest. An uplifting, fresh and balanced finish. Non-chill filtered for a richer mouthfeel and fuller flavour. Only the natural colours derived from their oak casks in every bottle.
