The Alistair Walker Whisky Company, based in Falkirk, was established by Alistair Walker in 2018. With 20 years of experience in the industry, Alistair made the decision to forge his own path as an independent bottler. The ‘Infrequent Flyers’ range is a series of single cask bottlings, sourced from distilleries throughout Scotland. A reference to the nature of many of the casks chosen, 'Infrequent Flyers' are often whiskies from lesser-known distilleries.
We are delighted to have collaborated with Alistair on this bottling from Teaninich! After sampling several different whiskies in various cask types from his range, this particular dram really stood out to us. With an exceptionally rich and fruity flavour, this smooth, full-bodied Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a perfect companion for the winter months!
Distilled in May 2012, this single malt matured for 14 years in an Oloroso Hogshead (Cask No. 160) before being bottled in September 2026.
A single cask release of 316 bottles. Exclusively available at The Wee Dram.
Tasting Notes from The Wee Dram team
Colour - Ruby.
Nose - Deep rich wood. Heavy notes of black treacle and fruitcake/dried fruits - sultanas and raisins. A touch of smoke, but it's very subtle.
Palate - Full-bodied and very fruity. Extremely smooth and mellow considering the strength. A touch of water mellows the spirit and creates a more vibrant flavour - tropical notes of mangoes. Perfect alongside Christmas desserts!
Finish - A beautiful, massive finish - very long and warming.
Limited to 2 bottles per customer.

Tasting Rating Guide
1: Light, good for beginners - an aperitif on a summers day, i.e. Glengoyne, Auchentoshan
2: Also good for beginners but with more depth and body - a little stronger than 1, ie. Glenmorangie, Speyburn
3: A dram for everyone, a little more complex so the palate requires a little more experience, i.e. Cragganmore, Macallan
4: A stronger spirit, a big whisky with lots of character and body, excellent after dinner, i.e. Lagavulin, Laphroaig
