The Mossburn Signature Casks range of whiskies showcase the typical characters of Scotland’s regional malts. They are classic expressions of their provenance, with further influence from Mossburn's signature casks. These casks were designed specifically to enhance the characteristics we look for in each of these exemplary malts.
These whiskies were first aged in American Oak barrels prior to their initial blending. They were then matured for a second period in the specially coopered custom-made Mossburn Casks. These casks were built to their specifications, or Cask Bill, with each of the malts having its very own: Cask Bill #1 for the Island and Cask Bill #2 for the Speyside.
Mossburn Speyside is a blend of Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whiskies which underwent a secondary maturation in Mossburn Cask Bill #2.
These were specially built Oloroso Sherry Butts with heavily charred virgin American Oak heads. This enhances the richness, depth and spicy vanilla flavours.

Tasting Rating Guide
1: Light, good for beginners - an aperitif on a summers day, i.e. Glengoyne, Auchentoshan
2: Also good for beginners but with more depth and body - a little stronger than 1, ie. Glenmorangie, Speyburn
3: A dram for everyone, a little more complex so the palate requires a little more experience, i.e. Cragganmore, Macallan
4: A stronger spirit, a big whisky with lots of character and body, excellent after dinner, i.e. Lagavulin, Laphroaig
