This area, once the first capital of Scotland, sits near the legendary Stone of Destiny, where Scottish kings were traditionally crowned. A fitting location for a distillery producing a Single Malt Scotch Whisky of the utmost quality, refinement and character.
Every drop of Strathearn single malt whisky is genuinely hand-crafted. The malted barley carried by hand into the distillery, then mixed with local Highland water in one of Scotland's smallest mash tuns. After fermenting for an unusually long 144 hours, they distill the liquid slowly and deliberately. They determine the spirit cut points by taste, not alcohol strength, then hand-fill it into specially selected casks, where it slumbers until matured to perfection.
From one of Scotland's smallest distilleries comes one of the country's mightiest malts. Prioritising flavour over alcohol yield, Strathearn is one of, if not the only distillery to still use Maris Otter Malt. This produces a deliciously creamy, malty new-make spirit. Crafted to perfection, the spirit matures in the finest casks, from which it takes on an immensely rich and refined flavour, from small acorns.

Nose - Anticipate a rich malted barley depth with gentle oak on the nose.
Palate - The mouth-coating, syrupy palate brings honey and buttercream with baking spice and dried apricots.
Finish - The warming finish is long with home baking and buttery oak biscuits.

Tasting Rating Guide
1: Light, good for beginners - an aperitif on a summers day, i.e. Glengoyne, Auchentoshan
2: Also good for beginners but with more depth and body - a little stronger than 1, ie. Glenmorangie, Speyburn
3: A dram for everyone, a little more complex so the palate requires a little more experience, i.e. Cragganmore, Macallan
4: A stronger spirit, a big whisky with lots of character and body, excellent after dinner, i.e. Lagavulin, Laphroaig
