Speyside whisky region.
Constructed to meet the rising demand for whisky, particularly for blending purposes, Auchroisk's primary role was to supply malt whisky for the J&B blend, one of the most popular blended Scotch whiskies globally. Designed with modern production techniques, the distillery reflected the advancements in distillation technology of the 1970s. They first bottled a single malt in 1986 as 'The Singleton of Auchroisk'.
Established early in 1994, Murray McDavid is a leading Independent Scotch whisky bottler. They use a variety of interesting casks during maturation to produce Inspired Scotch Whisky. Their ranges available include the Benchmark series, Mystery Malts, Cask Craft and select Grain bottlings.
This bottling is part of their ‘Cask Craft’ range of single malts from across Scotland. Artfully matured in a variety of wood types, displaying a fine balance of oak and spirit.
This spirit from Auchroisk Distillery is a spicy malt, light citrus with a hint of mixed nuts. The use of three oak casks - Port, Marsala and Four-Grain - gives a rich orchard fruit influence, with creamy vanilla and sweet spice.
A hearty spirit, matured in three different cask types. Carefully balanced to display a vibrant character of sweet melon, soft peach and creamy malt. A delicious dram made with a unique blend of exotic oak casks.
