Morris Whisky is an Australian whisky brand with roots in the Morris family’s rich winemaking heritage in Rutherglen, Victoria. The Morris family has been crafting fortified wines since 1859, before venturing into whisky making in 2016. It was then when they revived a dormant copper still, experimenting and eventually creating a premium single malt whisky. Morris Australian Single Malt Whisky launched in 2021. The company is now run by Madden Morris, the sixth-generation winemaker, continuing a tradition in producing both wines and whiskies.
This Signature expression shows bright topaz hues on appearance which open a door to orchard fruit profiles, macerated black cherry and biscuit notes balancing the zest of marmalade jam, lingering cocoa and dark-berry flavours.

Colour - Polished copper heart with bright topaz hues.
Nose - Orchard fruit profiles, macerated black cherry and biscuit notes.
Palate - Extremely well rounded with a pleasant mouth feel. Zesty marmalade jam, lingering cocoa and dark-berry flavours.
Finish - Primary maturation achieved in ex-Australian red wine barrels, then finished in casks which have held a selection of award winning Morris fortified wines.

Tasting Rating Guide
1: Light, good for beginners - an aperitif on a summers day, i.e. Glengoyne, Auchentoshan
2: Also good for beginners but with more depth and body - a little stronger than 1, ie. Glenmorangie, Speyburn
3: A dram for everyone, a little more complex so the palate requires a little more experience, i.e. Cragganmore, Macallan
4: A stronger spirit, a big whisky with lots of character and body, excellent after dinner, i.e. Lagavulin, Laphroaig
