Boulder is distilled at Vapour Distillery, which is located in Boulder, Colorado. This craft distillery was founded in 2013. Boulder Bourbon starts with the finest corn (51%). They combine malted barley (44%) with a touch of rye (5%), incorporating the purest water sourced from the nearby Arapahoe glacier melt. Using artisan distilling techniques with their custom Scottish Copper Pot Still, they age the spirit in new American Oak barrels for a minimum of three years before bottling it in the distillery. The overall outcome yields a beautifully crafted, distinctive Bourbon boasting a smooth finish.
This Straight Bourbon, the inaugural release from Boulder Spirits, offers an incredibly soft and approachable profile, characterised by distinct apple notes throughout. This bourbon has subsequently earnt a double gold medal from the esteemed San Francisco Spirits Challenge.

Tasting Rating Guide
1: Light, good for beginners - an aperitif on a summers day, i.e. Glengoyne, Auchentoshan
2: Also good for beginners but with more depth and body - a little stronger than 1, ie. Glenmorangie, Speyburn
3: A dram for everyone, a little more complex so the palate requires a little more experience, i.e. Cragganmore, Macallan
4: A stronger spirit, a big whisky with lots of character and body, excellent after dinner, i.e. Lagavulin, Laphroaig
