Forest Gin is made at Forest Distillery, at the iconic Cat and Fiddle Inn, therefore making it Britain's highest altitude distillery. Forest Distillery began in 2014, when Karl and Lindsay Bond began home distilling tiny batches of spirits from the kitchen table in their home next to Macclesfield Forest. Whilst these initial distillations were purely for their own enjoyment, things have rapidly moved on since.
This is a hand crafted, award winning artisan
gin distilled in small batches using botanicals from Macclesfield Forest in the Cheshire Peak District. Forest Gin comes in beautiful hand screen-printed stoneware bottles made by Wade's Pottery. Made in batches of 85 bottles at a time. Each bottle contains only the finest botanicals and water from the distillery spring.
The contents of this gin include - organic grain spirit, juniper berries, coriander seed and a blend of other traditional gin botanicals. They distilled these ingredients only once, combining berries, flowers, moss, ferns, and bark. This offering from Forest is a must try for any gin lover.
Official Tasting Notes
Nose - Fresh, green, forest pines.
Palate - Initial hit of juniper, with fresh ferns and sweet berries.
