Glenmorangie was founded in 1843 by brothers John and William Matheson in the town of Tain, in the
Highlands of Scotland. The distillery's site originally hosted a brewery, but the Matheson brothers converted it into a whisky distillery, using second-hand gin stills.
Originally operating as a small-scale distillery, Glenmorangie began to gain a good reputation by the late 19th century. The distillery underwent several ownership changes throughout the 20th century. In 1918, Macdonald and Muir acquired Glenmorangie, playing a crucial role in expanding the distillery's production capacity and market reach. Today, the company is operated by Moet Hennessy, who acquired the brand in 2004. Glenmorangie is famous for its exceptionally tall stills, which stand at 8 meters - some of the tallest in Scotland.
A limited edition bottling of Glenmorangie, created in collaboration with legendary actor Harrison Ford. A marriage of classic bourbon Glenmorangie with toasted Portuguese Red Wine Casks for a unique mouthfeel. Classic Glenmorangie, but with a 'bite'.

Colour - Sunset orange.
Aroma - Brim full of tangy, zesty citrus fruits, reminiscent of orange breakfast marmalade, along with some distinctive floral notes, like honeysuckle and jasmine. These is also a curious note like beeswax, or scented candles. With a splash of water, more perfumes notes emerge, like peach blossom and vanilla.
Taste - The mouthfeel has a real ‘bite’ to it, as the lively citrus fruit notes are encountered. Meanwhile, notes of Seville orange, lemon and grapefruit veritably dance across the palate, along with softer notes of baked bread, apricot, muscovado sugar and butter candy.
Finish - There's a curious, anaesthetising, mentholic note in the background. Finally, the medium - long aftertaste has flavours of orange oil, leather and oak tannin.
