This Oloroso Sherry Oak bottling from Kavalan is fully matured in sherry casks that express rich and spicy notes of walnuts and dried fruits.
For this bottling of Kavalan, the distillers have diluted the Solist Oloroso Sherry with Kavalan spring water. Ultimately bottled at 46% alcoholic strength, this edition of Kavalan is a dram that is easy to drink. This bottling is clean and complex with multiple layers of dried fruit, nuttiness and spices, as well as some marzipan and vanilla touches.

Palate - Smooth, well-balanced natural sweetness, full of pleasant dried fruit and spices. The whisky leaves a beautifully elegant and long finish.

Tasting Rating Guide
1: Light, good for beginners - an aperitif on a summers day, i.e. Glengoyne, Auchentoshan
2: Also good for beginners but with more depth and body - a little stronger than 1, ie. Glenmorangie, Speyburn
3: A dram for everyone, a little more complex so the palate requires a little more experience, i.e. Cragganmore, Macallan
