Lennox Peat is from their Mystery Malt range, a collection of specially selected single malts to puzzle and entertain the curious whisky buff.
This bottling of Lennox Peat Single Malt Scotch Whisky comes from a distillery located in a vale in Scotland. While this is a heavily peated single malt, this versatile distillery produces an excellent array of styles of Scotch whisky.
Distilled in 2018, this Mystery Malt matured for six years in a fresh Bourbon barrels, balancing out the power of the peated spirit. The whisky has benefited greatly from the calming influences of the American oak, introducing a mellow, serene tranquillity. Bottled in Spring 2025, this edition of Lennox Peat is a limited release of 797 bottles.

Nose - Coastal smoke, sweet lemon sponge.
Palate - Medicinal, fresh peat, orange blossom.
Finish - Gentle malt, sea spray, smoky peach.

1: Light, good for beginners - an aperitif on a summers day, i.e. Glengoyne, Auchentoshan
2: Also good for beginners but with more depth and body - a little stronger than 1, ie. Glenmorangie, Speyburn
3: A dram for everyone, a little more complex so the palate requires a little more experience, i.e. Cragganmore, Macallan
4: A stronger spirit, a big whisky with lots of character and body, excellent after dinner, i.e. Lagavulin, Laphroaig
