Lochlea are very proud that Robert Burns called Lochlea his home from 1777 until his father’s death in 1784. By day, Burns worked hard on the farm and in the evening, he enjoyed the company of his friends, debating at the Bachelors’ Club in nearby Tarbolton. The ground there has inspired the honest, passionate, and progressive nature of Lochlea whisky.
Cask Strength Batch 3 is the third in a series of annual limited-edition bottlings, with each batch will be bottled straight from the casks without water. Batch 3 offers yet another bold and distinctive take on Lochlea. The Master Blender has carefully selected a combination of Oloroso Sherry Butts and Ex-Islay Peated Casks. The result is a whisky that balances richness and depth with a surprising twist of smoke.
