The name 'Mac-Talla', which means 'echo' in Gaelic, reflects the brand's dedication to capturing and echoing the essence of Islay in each bottle.

The island's rugged landscape, maritime climate, and rich peat bogs contribute to the distinctive flavours found in Islay whiskies. Mac-Talla Terra is a heavily peated single malt Scotch from the Isle of Islay. Meaning 'earth', this perfectly reflects the peat smoke in this expression, deriving its characteristics from Islay’s ground. This whisky uses American Oak casks for all its maturation before being bottled at 46% ABV, un-chill filtered and without adding colour.

1: Light, good for beginners - an aperitif on a summers day, i.e. Glengoyne, Auchentoshan
2: Also good for beginners but with more depth and body - a little stronger than 1, ie. Glenmorangie, Speyburn
3: A dram for everyone, a little more complex so the palate requires a little more experience, i.e. Cragganmore, Macallan
