Known as Yorkshire Dry Gin, the gin is distilled in a traditional dry gin method using a copper alembic still, with all the botanicals (herbs, fruit and spices) present in the still. This process is known as the London Dry Gin method. The company also uses Harrogate Spring Water in its gins.
Masons of Yorkshire The Original gin beautifully balances juniper, fresh citrus and warming spice for a smooth and boldly aromatic gin. With a long and refreshing orange and juniper finish.
Since launching in 2013, The Original has won some of the world’s most prestigious gin awards. These include a Great Taste Award in 2022, Gin Masters Gold in 2021 and 2020 and Gold at the World Gin Awards in 2018 and 2020.

You'll find hints of juniper and punchy citrus, smoothed with fennel and cardamom, followed by a warm peppery finish.

Tasting Rating Guide
1: Light, good for beginners - an aperitif on a summers day, i.e. Glengoyne, Auchentoshan
2: Also good for beginners but with more depth and body - a little stronger than 1, ie. Glenmorangie, Speyburn
3: A dram for everyone, a little more complex so the palate requires a little more experience, i.e. Cragganmore, Macallan
4: A stronger spirit, a big whisky with lots of character and body, excellent after dinner, i.e. Lagavulin, Laphroaig
