Formed in 1988 by Andrew and Brian Symington, the Signatory Vintage Scotch Whisky Company offers a great range of small batch independent bottlings. They bottle one cask at a time, capitalising on the unique colour and flavour characteristics of each individual cask. They source all-natural malts from the best distilleries in Scotland, selecting the best single batches and bottling only the finest casks within those batches.
This bottling is edition #54 of the Signatory Vintage 100 Proof range. Matured for 14 years in 1st fill Oloroso Sherry Hogsheads and 1st fill Oloroso Sherry Butts. Bottled at 57.1% ABV, an un-chillfiltered single malt, with no added colouring.

Tasting Rating Guide
1: Light, good for beginners - an aperitif on a summers day, i.e. Glengoyne, Auchentoshan
2: Also good for beginners but with more depth and body - a little stronger than 1, ie. Glenmorangie, Speyburn
3: A dram for everyone, a little more complex so the palate requires a little more experience, i.e. Cragganmore, Macallan
4: A stronger spirit, a big whisky with lots of character and body, excellent after dinner, i.e. Lagavulin, Laphroaig
