Proper No. Twelve Irish whiskey was launched by mixed martial artist and professional boxer, Conor McGregor in 2018. It is in tribute to the neighbourhood which he grew up in - Crumlin in Dublin 12. It embodies their spirit of brotherhood, loyalty, and hard work. He set out to create this bottling with one goal in mind - to craft a proper Irish whiskey that is true to Ireland.
Conor and his team searched for a place and people that shared the same passion for Ireland and its whiskey. He found this at the oldest whiskey distillery on the Isle of Ireland. With the help of his master distiller, former manager of Bushmills Distillery, David Elder, he has created a unique and special blend. Through much trial and error, they worked together to create a blend of sweet Irish grain and single malt Irish whiskey. The result, a smooth balanced whiskey with hints of vanilla, honey-like sweetness and toasted wood.
This is a smooth a balanced spirit - a fine blend of golden grain and full flavoured malted barley. Triple-distilled and aged four years in Bourbon barrels, Proper No. Twelve offers hints of vanilla, honey-like sweetness and toasted wood.

Tasting Rating Guide
1: Light, good for beginners - an aperitif on a summers day, i.e. Glengoyne, Auchentoshan
2: Also good for beginners but with more depth and body - a little stronger than 1, ie. Glenmorangie, Speyburn
3: A dram for everyone, a little more complex so the palate requires a little more experience, i.e. Cragganmore, Macallan
4: A stronger spirit, a big whisky with lots of character and body, excellent after dinner, i.e. Lagavulin, Laphroaig
