Hunter Laing is a family-owned independent bottler of Scotch whisky, based in Glasgow. Founded in 2013 by Stewart Laing and his sons, Andrew and Scott, the company specialises in selecting and bottling rare and high-quality single malt and blended Scotch whiskies. The company also owns and operates Islay's newest distillery, Ardnahoe, who's inaugural release came in 2024.

Each month, Hunter Laing’s tasting panel selects only the highest-quality casks from regions across Scotland, bottling them at the perfect moment to capture their distinct character. Typically bottled at 50% ABV and non-chillfiltered to preserve authenticity.
This Tamdhu bottling was distilled in May 2009, and bottled in June 2025 at 16 years old. The spirit matured in a PX Hogshead (HL21865), producing 319 bottles.

Nose - Orange zest, white pepper and dark chocolate.
Palate - Green ferns, honey and stewed plums.
Finish - Medium length with a rich sweetness.

1: Light, good for beginners - an aperitif on a summers day, i.e. Glengoyne, Auchentoshan
2: Also good for beginners but with more depth and body - a little stronger than 1, ie. Glenmorangie, Speyburn
3: A dram for everyone, a little more complex so the palate requires a little more experience, i.e. Cragganmore, Macallan
4: A stronger spirit, a big whisky with lots of character and body, excellent after dinner, i.e. Lagavulin, Laphroaig
