Founded in 1897, the year of Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee, by a group of local businessmen, Tamdhu Distillery was established during the late Victorian whisky boom. Official Tasting Notes
Nose - Rich and enticing, iced cinnamon rolls, orange boiled sweets, fresh sweet oak with raisins and the faint hint of mint.
Palate - Silky texture that coats the mouth with banana, berry jam, malt biscuit and classic sherry oak depth.
Finish - Pleasantly long and balanced with ground spice, dried fruit and soft Scottish tablet – finally unveiling the merest wisp of peat smoke.

1: Light, good for beginners - an aperitif on a summers day, i.e. Glengoyne, Auchentoshan
2: Also good for beginners but with more depth and body - a little stronger than 1, ie. Glenmorangie, Speyburn
3: A dram for everyone, a little more complex so the palate requires a little more experience, i.e. Cragganmore, Macallan
4: A stronger spirit, a big whisky with lots of character and body, excellent after dinner, i.e. Lagavulin, Laphroaig
