Built for the sole intention of handcrafting the finest English Single Malt, at the time of the distillery's completion, it was
England's first whisky distillery in over 100 years. King Charles III officially opened the distillery in March 2007.
The English Distillery offer whiskies of a wide range of flavours. They produce both peated and un-peated whiskies and also use a variety of different casks for certain releases. They have whisky maturing in their warehouses to last 40 years. Alongside the single malts, they also produce a range of whisky liqueurs.
This is the second release from the distillery's small batch range of single malt whiskies for 2023. The English Sherry Butt Heavily Smoked is a wonderfully smokey whisky that spent the latter years of its 11 year life sleeping in a sherry butt cask.
A dram packed with flavours of sweet red berries, apricots and fudge. Combined with deep, long-lasting smoke to give a perfectly balanced finish.
