Writers Tears Double Oak is an exclusive Irish whiskey created using two woods and two styles of premium Irish whiskey. A blend of Single Pot Still and Single Malt Irish whiskey, aged in two types of wood – American Oak Bourbon Barrels from Kentucky and French Oak Cognac Casks from the Cognac Region in France.
Triple distilled, non chill filtered and bottled at 46% ABV. Made possible due to the collaboration between the Walsh family in Ireland’s County Carlow and the Legaret family in Cognac, France.

Nose - Dashes of sweet vanilla, notes of cinnamon, plum and poached pear.
Taste - Citrus zest, chocolate undertones and lingering spice.
Finish - Decadent and elegant. One to savour.

1: Light, good for beginners - an aperitif on a summers day, i.e. Glengoyne, Auchentoshan
2: Also good for beginners but with more depth and body - a little stronger than 1, ie. Glenmorangie, Speyburn
3: A dram for everyone, a little more complex so the palate requires a little more experience, i.e. Cragganmore, Macallan
4: A stronger spirit, a big whisky with lots of character and body, excellent after dinner, i.e. Lagavulin, Laphroaig
