In 2018, the
Speyside distillery launched its first core range of GlenAllachie single malts just nine months after taking ownership. This release marked a significant milestone as it was the first-ever range of single malts from the distillery, which had previously been used to create premium blends. In 2024, the company rebranded, giving GlenAllachie 'a new visual identity', representing their evolution since 2018.
The Wood Collection is the result of the finest oak and seamlessly coordinated collaboration. An inspired range of carefully crafted and cask-perfected whiskies, each personally approved by Billy Walker. This collection of unique single malts truly represents the wonders of wood.
Beginning its life as a Fino, Amontillado Sherry undergoes an additional maturation period without a 'flor' layer. This stage of oxidative ageing develops a richer colour and more robust characteristics. Using hogsheads that previously held this well-aged style of Sherry, the subsequent single malt brims with dark cherries, toasted hazelnuts and caramel sauce.

Colour - Bronzed mahogany.
Nose - Soft orchard fruits, cinnamon and heather honey, with butterscotch, hazelnuts and dark tobacco.
Taste - Honeycomb, maraschino cherries and dried apricots, followed by poached pears, blood orange, mixed nuts and cinnamon.
