To survive, the distillery produced other products like 'medicinal' whiskey and even coal.
It has remained a family business for several generations, with various family members overseeing its operations. Fred Noe is now in the role of Master Distiller. He took over the job in 2007 as the seventh generation family distiller. Today, Jim Beam continues to be one of the best-selling bourbon whiskey brands globally.
