Mull's Finest is from their Mystery Malt range, a collection of specially selected single malts to puzzle and entertain the curious whisky buff.
This bottling of Mull's Finest Single Malt Scotch Whisky is from an unnamed distillery on the Isle of Mull, built in 1798. Distilled in 2014, it matured for six years in ex-Bourbon barrels, before finishing for four years in 1st fill Calvados Pays d’Auge Barriques. Bottled in Autumn 2025 at 10 years old, this is a limited release of 647 bottles.
Official Tasting Notes
Nose - Smoked apple, grass, sweet citrus.
Palate - Candied pear, coastal peat, lemon.
Finish - Sweet smoke, orchard, grapefruit.

Tasting Rating Guide
1: Light, good for beginners - an aperitif on a summers day, i.e. Glengoyne, Auchentoshan
2: Also good for beginners but with more depth and body - a little stronger than 1, ie. Glenmorangie, Speyburn
3: A dram for everyone, a little more complex so the palate requires a little more experience, i.e. Cragganmore, Macallan
4: A stronger spirit, a big whisky with lots of character and body, excellent after dinner, i.e. Lagavulin, Laphroaig
